PART-I 1.Technical Knowledge & Team (time: 3 to 6 months) It is very important to have access toexperts before founding a lithium-ion battery company. But that doesn’t meanyou must hire a full team from day one. The smart approach is to secureexpertise first, then scale up it. Lithium battery business is not justtrading.
Why experts are necessary Lithium-ion batteries are notlike normal products: - Safety risk → fire, explosion if designed wrong
- Technical complexity → chemistry, electronics, thermal control
- Strict regulations → transport, certification, compliance
Without expert guidance, mistakes can cost money, business failure, reputation, legal problem, safetyincidents. Before commercialization the battery the followings are necessary: - 1 technical advisor (part-time)
- 1 experienced technician
- Trained up at least 5 Battery engineers
- 1 Quality control specialist
- Trained up safety expert 2 (each production step there is a safety issue)
Key knowledge areas: - Battery chemistry (LFP, NMC, etc.)
- Charging/discharging systems
- Thermal management (very critical)
- Battery types: LFP vs NMC
- Charging/discharging basics
- Battery Management System (BMS)
- Safety risks (thermal runaway)
- Ensures battery life and stability
- Protects from overcharge, overheating
2. Start Small Testing (Pilot Phase) Before a company, test the businessidea: - Import small number of cells
- Assemble sample battery packs
- Test performance and safety
- Sell to a few customers
